Antiques known collectively as militaria cover a huge number of interests and it is for this reason that many collectors choose to concentrate on a particular subject or historic period, rather than arms and armour in general.
From weapons, armour, uniforms and headdresses, medals, badges, swords and other edged weapons, firearms, trophies, belt clasps and plates, right down to pictures, letters, prints, postcards and even cigarette cards, all bring alive the times, the leaders and the heroes that gave us our fascinating history.
As early pieces have become increasingly scarce, good items from the late 19th and early 20th Century campaigns are finding keen and enthusiastic collectors.
