Antique Collector - Carboots, Fairs and Markets

Car boot sales are a mainly British form of market in which private individuals come together to sell household and garden goods. I would estimate that just about everybody in the UK must have been to a car boot sale by now! Most will regard this as a pleasant way to spend a weekend day, especially on a sunny morning, when the highlight of the day is to find a little gem, and get a good deal on it. There is no better way to recycle items that would otherwise probably end up in our already overflowing landfill sites across the country.

The BBC 'Antiques Roadshow' is littered with great stories of treasures discovered in the bottom of a box of 'junk', which turn out to be worth a small fortune. With thousands of car boot sales across the country every week, selling second hand and new items, there has never been a better time to grab a bargain!
