Antique Memorabilia.
Nostalgia is an important ingredient and driving force in collecting. Many collectors of unusual items describe how their hobby started in later life as a little spark of interest in something from their childhood. As a consequence, this area of collecting can be fairly specialized and quite often doesn't readily fit in with other fields of collectable antiques.
An idea of areas which memorabilia might cover includes, rock and pop, autographs, cigarette cards, postcards, other ephemera and the Monarchy.
Sporting memorabilia can include items from all major sports, like, golf, football, cricket, tennis, and more recently baseball, particularly in the USA. Items like programs, bats, balls, rackets, shirts, caps, trophies, autographed ephemera and sportsware are all eagerly sought after by team fans, even down to the humble bubble gum card.
